robocup-rescue-r -- RoboCupRescue Real Robot League

About robocup-rescue-r
English (USA)

The goal of annual RoboCupRescue Robot League competitions is to increase awareness of the challenges and potential roles for robots in urban search and rescue (US&R) applications; to provide objective evaluation of robotic implementations in repeatable, representative, practice environments; and to promote collaboration between researchers.

This email list will hopefully help teams quicken the pace of advancement by:
1) providing practical help in overcoming technical problems that arise,
2) promoting and leveraging successful approaches and implementations,
3) encouraging collaboration with other teams demonstrating complimentary technical capabilities in mobility, sensory perception, planning, mapping, and practical operator interfaces.

The ultimate goal, of course, is to develop capable robotic tools that can be deployed in the field to help emergency responders perform their roles more effectively, efficiently, and safely to save more lives. This email list should help get us there faster by making it easier for more teams to contribute their expertise along the way.
