Lunch and Learn - Negotiating Assertiveness
Thursday, October 19, Noon to 1 p.m.
Women's Resource Center
Suite 131, Student Services (Flag) Building
(cookies, soda and water provided)

Getting What You Deserve in the Workplace
You can be a smart, hardworking employee who consistently exceeds job
requirements and you still may not get what you want and deserve in
terms of job offers, salary, promotions, perks or visibility within your
company or professional field.
This workshop will apply psychology within the realities of the business
work environment. Attendees will gain insight on how their own
psychology and the psychology of female power influences their ability
to ask for and get what they want and deserve. The workshop will also
provide strategies for finding your voice and how to assert yourself in
crucial conversations in your career.

Prior to pursuing her Master's degree in Professional Counseling,
Kalpana spent over 15 years working in large and small corporations. She
has held VP and other senior management positions and has interviewed,
hired and conducted performance and pay reviews for many employees. She
has also coached students on how to get what they want during the job
search process.

A joint program between the Georgia Tech Counseling Center and the
Women's Resource Center.
