Dear Colleagues,

We have a team from Montreal who is preparing to participate at the
international event next year once again. It just came to our attention
from the RoboCup.org website that the new @Home standard platform robot
would be Softbanks Pepper.
http://www.robocup.org/2016/07/toyota-and-softbank-robotics-are-selected-for-home-standard-platform/
It states that the first demonstration will be in Nagoya 2017.

What would that mean for the international competition in 2018? Are all
teams expected to use a Pepper robot or will the team be permitted to build
their own robot once again going forward?

Thank you for the clarification,

R
