Dear SSL Participants,

With a view to making the refereeing process smoother this year, we would
like to get an advance list from all the teams of their team members who
can serve as Referees, Assistant Referees, Vision Experts, and Refbox
assistants.

Please email this list to rc-ssl-oc at lists.robocup.org and
rc-ssl-tc at lists.robocup.org, with the subject "Referee + Assistant Names,
TEAM_NAME". The email should include a table with one row per volunteer,
with the following columns:
1. Name
2. Email address
3. Which assignments the volunteer can fulfil, e.g. "Referee, Assistant
referee, Vision Expert"

We would like to have this list by the Team Leader meeting, which is
tentatively scheduled for 1300 hrs on the second setup day, Wednesday the
26th of July.

Here is a brief description of the duties of the different roles. These
duties will be explained in detail in the compulsory referee training,
tentatively scheduled for 1400 hrs on the second setup day, right after the
team leaders' meeting.
1. Referee: Must be familiar with all the rules of the game. Is responsible
for all major calls of the game.
2. Assistant Referee: Assists the Referee in enforcing rules that are
easily missed as the main referee, in particular fouls due to positioning
of robots, unfair game play, robot collisions, etc.
3. Vision Expert: Must be familiar with the geometry and color calibration
of SSL-Vision, and capable of identifying vision failures, issues and
inconsistencies.
4. Refbox Assistant: Must be familiar with the referee box software, and
entering the decisions of the Referee into the software referee box.

Thanks and Regards,
The Technical and Organization Committees of the SSL, 2014.
