Hi RoboCuppers,
the Hamburg Dog Bots have uploaded their video of the 11 vs 11 game at the
Dutch Open to their website (thanks a lot!):
http://www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/TIS/cms/static/robocup/videos.htm
As you can see there is much room for improvements ;-)
We would like to show a similar game, preferably with different code on both
sides, at the RoboCup 2006 on the day of the quarter finals. A number of
teams have already announced that they were interested in participating in
such an event, so we need someone to coordinate it. If enough teams want to
participate, we can even organize two games.
So the proposal is
- We play on a mid-size field, but use enlarged 4-legged beacons
- We form two or four teams playing against each other
- The normal Four-Legged rules apply. As penalty area we use the small area
in front of the goals called "goal area" in the MSL rules.
- At the Dutch Open, we played red against white, because the blue of the
mid-size goal is very similar to the blue uniform color. We may be able to
prepare a different blue for the MSL goal in Bremen.
The MSL field is defined in
http://www.idt.mdh.se/rc/Mid-Size/Documents/msl-rules-2005-20050625.pdf
So we need two or four teams. For each of the teams, we need somebody to
coordinate the effort. So
- What are the teams (America, Europe, Asia, Australia)?
- Who volunteers for organizing each of them?
The GermanTeam would obviously be part of team "Europe".
Best regards
Thomas Röfer
