Dear All,
The idea of 11-11 demo games during RoboCup 2006 have been very well
accepted by many people from different teams on this mailing list in
previous discussions and are also very strongly supported by the RoboCup
federation.
Obviously many interesting and open research questions are associated with
11-11 games.
These questions would perfectly fit into the spirit of the Open Challenge.
However, the current rules restrict the Open Challenge to the standard
four-legged field.
Therefore, we suggest to include issues related to 11-11 games on
the MSL field in the Open Challenge (OC).
The only modifications needed to the OC rules is that
the MSL field prepared for 11-11 can be used and teams which want to do
so must announce it in advance (for organization of the MSL field).
All other details of the OC rules remain unchanged (technical description,
3 minutes, any number of Aibos, etc.).
Any objections, approvals, comments, ideas?
With best regards,
Oskar von Stryk
