In the video you have to demonstrate the basic capabilities as defined in the call (walking, getting up from a fall, etc.). In your technical description you have to show that your robots are compatible with the requirements (e.g. size). You may continue improving your robots afterwards. Assuming successful qualification, in order to actually participate in the tournament, your robots (as to be used during the competition) need to pass the robot inspection at the competition.

This is a dynamic process. I expect the deadline to be around the end of the year. You may want to have a first version of your qualification material ready in early December.

Getting in touch with experienced teams may also be helpful. Please check the list of previously qualified teams for suitable partners. (University of Manitoba was involved in humanoid league in the past.)
