Dear Teams of Humanoid- and SP-League,

you are invited to participate in the KI 2015 Workshop "AI challenges
for soccer-playing humanoid robots" and the associated RoboCup
Humanoid Open Workshop (RoHOW). The Workshop takes place in Dresden
from Sunday, 20th September (afternoon) until Tuesday, 22nd September
in the evening. The event is organized by members of the Humanoid
Technical and Executive Committee in Cooperation with the KI
Conference organizers.

The workshop talks are scheduled for Monday. Papers will be selected
for two presentation categories: extended oral presentation and short
‘lightning presentation’. Papers are limited to a maximum of 6 pages,
have to be in English and formatted according to the Springer LNCS
style. We especially encourage undergraduate students to submit papers
and reserve time for their presentations. On Monday evening a
discussion about the RoboCup Roadmap and rule changes will take place
for the Humanoid League.

Tuesday will be reserved for a small soccer tournament. All teams
participating in the RoHOW are encouraged to play at least one game
against another team. We will provide a field and white goals as well
as space for the teams to prepare their robots, work on hardware and
software and exchange ideas. The field will also be available on
Monday, so teams can set up their robots and have some tryouts. The
workshop venue will be available on Sunday afternoon for teams to
start their setup.

The participation is free of charge for students enrolled in a
Bachelors or Masters program. PhD students and University staff have
to pay the workshop fee as announced on the KI conference website. For
teams who can not afford accommodation in Dresden, there will be
the possibility to stay in the University facility overnight. If you
are interested in this accommodation, please contact Maike Paetzel in
a separate E-Mail.

To help with the organization, teams interested in participation are
asked to submit a one page team description via the online submission
system. Deadline for both papers and team descriptions is 15th of May.

More information are available on our website at
https://www.robocuphumanoid.org/ki2015/

We are looking forward to your submission!
Kind regards,
Maike Paetzel (8paetzel at informatik.uni-hamburg.de)
