CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Introduction to RoboCup Major Leagues - Workshop
RoboCup German Open, Magdeburg (Germany), April 23rd, 2015
https://robocupgermanopen.de/gorobocup
OBJECTIVE
RoboCup is the world's leading, largest and most sustainable competition for
intelligent robots driven by a large worldwide community.
The objective of this one day workshop is to offer a forum for researchers
interested in participating in RoboCup to obtain first hand information on the
different Major Leagues and to network with established RoboCup teams present
at RoboCup German Open.
As the 20th RoboCup will be held in 2016 in Leipzig, Germany, this workshop
offers an excellent opportunity for new coming teams aiming at participation in
the international event in 2016.
AGENDA
In the morning an overview of RoboCup and the Major Leagues present at RoboCup
German Open will be given. In the afternoon parallel workshops will be held in
the respective league areas. The following leagues will be presented:
- Humanoid: Autonomous humanoid soccer robots
- Standard Platform: Standard platform soccer robots (Aldebaran Nao)
- 3D SIM: Autonomous simulated humanoid soccer robots
- Rescue Robot: Semi-autonomous and supervised robots for urban search and
rescue
- @Home: Intelligent robots interacting with and serving humans in a
realistic living environment
- @Work: Intelligent robots for flexible manufacturing cells
- Logistics: Self-organising robotic vehicles for flexible solution of
material and informational flow within industrial production
Also information on how to establish a RoboCup regional committee to foster
regional activities will be given during the workshop.
The detailed agenda will be available through the workshop web page.
