Hi Ladies, Each CoC Leadership group will have a poster at the retreat Sunday. And clearly, since we are the best Leadership group and the best Csers, we will have the best poster. (and of course, anyone who is in more than one group is even more awesome). I need your input. THIS IS DEFINTELY A ROUGH DRAFT. What else should I add? How should I finish the Halloween Party caption. Should I change any format? ANyone have more pictures? I really need more. I like the pink the most.. then the blue. :) Kathy

[UWAB] Recap and Meeting Tomorrow

Hello Ladies! Next Meeting: 11:00 Thursday, September 29th in in CoC 54. If you would like to be removed from the list, reply and let me know! Recap of last week: -Michelle and Laura came up with the idea of a Halloween Party in the CoC Commons. :) A certain unnamed individual suggested that we all dress up as operating systems and other CS-ish things (Red Hat, Penguin, Squeak Mouse, a cup of Java)... if these terms seem foreign, no worries, YOU WILL become familiar with them. :) On a serious note, it will be on the evening of Halloween. We will give out prizes and any proceeds will go towards Katrina funds. We'll take over the commons, have tons of fun, and bring all the CS-ers out to play. :) -CoC Leaders Retreat for all those who signed up for committees in on Sunday, October 9th. Hey ladies... Please consider participating in a user study I am running as part of my Masters project. The study takes about an hour, and you will be paid $10 cash for participating. The study aims to assess how different display types affect user performance on simple tasks while in motion. You will be asked to complete simple reading comprehension tasks while walking around a path in the lab. If you are interested, please email me with a time you are available. The list of available times can be found at http://swiki.cc.gatech.edu:8080/cs7470/71. I put intervals starting at 8:30am, but I am willing to be flexible (i.e. if you want to come at 10:30 instead of 10:00 or 8:15 instead of 8:30, etc.). The study will be held in lab 243 of the TSRB.
