uWomen- The raffle tickets for the nano have been made and are in Maureens office, Please go by and grab some and start sellign them to anyone who will buy them. The price is $2 a piece or 3 for $5. If we can, I think we should set up a table in the commons area or something to sell them since weonly have a few days. When are people available to be there if we do this? Today? Tomorrow? Can we please send out an email to the students about our Fall-oween Party so they know about it? Something like what's below, but with more spookiness. And one last request... can we go ahead and decorate the Commons with Anne's fancy paper on Thursday evening so people will see it before Monday and think about it? Thanks- Laura The student organization of the College of Computing are hosting a Halloween Party/Fall Festival on Monday, October 31 from 4 - 7 in the stundent commons area. There will be games to play for a chance to win prizes or raffle tickets for gift certificates and prizes. Anyone wearing a costumes recieves a ticket for this raffle. We will also be raffling off a 4 GB iPod nano. Tickets for this raffle can be purchased at the price of $2 a piece or 3 tickets for $5. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. We will be selling them _________ at ______. The best costume will win a free raffle ticket for the nano. Cathy Dunnahoo just popped in and she will bring a $20 gift certificate to Best Buy and will bake a pumpkin cake. Kathy Earwood had replied that she would help out, but now has a doctor's appointment and will not be here. Becky Wilson will be tied up at the grad student event that afternoon in TSRB and sends her regrets. Mary Alice Isele is "booked already and sorry to miss it. VERY cute invitations. Have fun!" I think you know that Mary Jean Harrold will be here to help out - she wants to know what she will be doing. Of course, I will be there. Can someone send a thank you to Irfan Essa that acknowledges that he donated the Digital Image Suite software package????? FYI, I sent the slide to all the profs asking them to show it in class and make the announcement. Chalking work is AWESOME!!! Wanna do a poster for the lobby???? Or are you already doing that?

Hi to all! I have a request for your group to consider about the wonderful upcoming event. Would you possibly change it's name to Fall Festival or something like that? There are cultures amongst us that do not celebrate Halloween! Promoting intercultural understanding and sensitivity is important - regardless of where we are. I hope you will discuss this at the Tuesday meeting - I believe I can attend it. Hey guys, Meeting this Tuesday at 11:00! Some of us will be chalking and some of us will be making the games and preparing for next week. We need profesor responses! We'll talk about this Tuesday. Does anyone want to make a flier for this event? I'll be making a ppt and sending that to Maureen. That way, professors can put the ppt. in their slides. We can put a memo to remind the professors to reply too. :) Yay! Get excited! Decorating the CoC will be so much fun. :) Kathy
