The workshop will also provide strategies for finding your voice and how to assert yourself in crucial conversations in your career. Prior to pursuing her Master's degree in Professional Counseling, Kalpana spent over 15 years working in large and small corporations. She has held VP and other senior management positions and has interviewed, hired and conducted performance and pay reviews for many employees. She has also coached students on how to get what they want during the job search process. Hi, my name is Sheila Isbell I work at GTRI (Georgia Tech Research Institute) in the Computer Science and Information Technology Division. We have a student job opening on one of my projects. We are looking for a person who knows Java, JSP, HTML, SQL queries, experience with using Java API to interface with Microsoft products like Access and Excel. Database development and administration is a plus. The job also requires you write a monthly report on your activities, do scanning of hardcopy documents, some Quality Assurance, and ensure security and reliability of website rollout. Also, we will be thinking of ways to improve some manual processes, so suggestions for improvement and script writing in the language that best fits will be needed as well. In addition to being a good programmer, I really need a problem solver, someone personable, and with good communication skills. We are looking for a junior or senior (4th or 5th year is fine) student, who can give 15 to 20 hours a week. You also have to apply for a security clearance, so US Citizenship is required. You will be working with 2 other students (non-cs), and occasionally other GTRI research professionals. If you are interested or know of someone who may be interested, please send me your resume with a couple of sentences about you in an email. If you are a match, I will respond to your email within two weeks. The student stated that three unknown males followed him while he was walking on Bobby Dodd Way. One of the men snatched the student's book bag then demanded all of his money. The man removed the cash from the student's wallet and threw all of his property back at him. The student was not injured. The men were last seen running towards Tech Tower. Provide the dispatcher with a detailed description of the person and their last known location or direction of travel. 4) WARNING: Increase in the number of reports of stolen bicycles from campus The Georgia Tech Police Department has recently received an increase in the number of reports of stolen bicycles from campus. Many of the bicycles that have recently been reported stolen were secured with a cable lock. Please secure the frame of your bicycle with a U-shaped lock to a bike rack. Do you not secure bicycles to hand rails, lamp posts, or trees. The Georgia Tech Police Department offers a free bicycle registration. If you would like to register your bicycle, please stop by the Georgia Tech Police Department. Please be on the look out for anyone seen loitering near bike racks or tampering with bike locks. Built around a film series, which will begin this Wednesday, October 11 (see details below), and a symposium, which will take place on November 17, this interdisciplinary project proves to be as entrancing as it is illuminating. The symposium includes papers from the areas of literary, historical and cultural studies as well as a presentation and roundtable discussion with physicians and midwives. The film series includes Dead Ringers, Born in the USA (a documentary on childbirth in America), A Midwives Tale, and The Abortion Diaries among others.
