Reminder: Meeting Thursday, room 53, 11:00. To Do: 1) Discuss decorations. What we have: Door hangings, big pumpkin, little give away toys, halloween pencils, plastic things to hang on walls, things to hang on ceiling, witch pinata 2) Discuss booths 3) Advertisement 4) Get responses from profs!!! 5) Do cute and fun stuff. Any ideas? 6) Invade the Commons? 7) The person in charge of movies for the Student Center has been emailed... awaiting response. See you guys THursday!!!

I have secured both black and orange fabric/plasticy stuff for decorating! One of the is even flame retardent! The orange stuff is three feet wide and the black stuff is five feet wide, so I have tons to plaster the commons with. I'll be bringing it with me when I come back from fall break, so be looking forward to it! anne

[UWAB] Fabulous Meeting Summary!

Hello Hotties of the College of Computing! Yay for decorating pumpkins, finishing invitations and getting the logistics together! For those who are dying to read a quick summary of the meeting: - Laura brought pumpkings and everyone decorated them with the information for the Halloween Party. -We devoured Laura's bread cup cake thingies -Advertising: Commons Plasma Screen (Kathy) Chalking (Everyone! Tuesday October 25 at 11:00) Technique Ad Mass email (we ARE techies) -Raffle Prizes: Ipod Nano (Thanks Michelle and Laura!) HP Hand Held Gift Certificates -Anne is making Raffle Tickets for the Nano and Hand Held. -We're using those cheap carnival tickets for the raffle tickets for gift certificates. -Decorations- Gotta buy some! We'll talk about this next weekend. -Women@CC Booths: CUP CAKE WALK FACE PAINTING BAKE SALE CRAFTS -Other Groups: Trivia Lollipops We need a popcorn machine!

Hey guys, I know we all love the CoC (because we're obviously the BEST) and want to keep the girls to ourselves, but TEch needs help recruiting! Apply! Jenn Johnson is AWESOME and alot of fun to work with. :) Kathy WOMEN'S RECRUITMENT BOARD - HELP RECRUIT WOMEN TO TECH Applications for the Women's Recruitment Board are now available (email Jennifer below). They are due by November 3rd at 5 p.m. to Room 287 of the Bill Moore Success Center. Interviews will be in the Bill Moore Success Center on November 15-17 from 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Women's Recruitment Board was formed in October 2004 by the Office Of Special Recruitment Programs as an advisory body to focus on recruiting outstanding high school women to Georgia Tech. The board works with the Office of Special Recruitment Programs, and the goal of the board is to produce programs to attract female high school students who are considering Georgia Tech. Board members help plan programs and participate in them as well. Applicants must have a 2.2 Cumulative GPA at Georgia Tech. On Monday, Oct 24 AdTran will be presenting in CCB 101 at the gtACM meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 730pm, with the presentation starting 10 minutes later and lasting 30 minutes. AdTran provides high speed digital telecommunications and enterprize networking solutions. A key component of these solutions are software packages to remotely manage large networks of equipment. Two Software Engineers from AdTran's principle office, Steve Bailey and Robert Miller, will be here to present Network Management Software. [UWAB] Amazing Computer Magic

Ladies- The ACM is meeting tonight at 7:00 in room 102. Having never actually been to a meeting, I cannot even start to guess what to expect, but I plan on attending tonight's meeting and would appreciate your company. The Georgia Tech chapter of ACM is trying to revive itself and not be just a group of cs super-nerds, so this is a good opportunity to join an organization and really help influence the direction it takes. Please don't make me go by myself- Laura PS. For those of you who do not know what the ACM is, it is a national society of professionals and students in computer related fields.
