Hi All,

I’m excited to announce a new course being offered to College of Computing students this fall - CS 2802: Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurial Mindset from Different Perspectives (CRN 93834). The course is 2 credit hours and will be taught in a remote/synchronous format on Monday’s 5:00pm-6:55pm EST. The course has been designed for students interested in entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset, those who may be thinking about going to work for a start-up, and those who may one day launch their own company. Below, you’ll find the full course description, and we have a great line-up of speakers for this semester.

  * Course Description: This seminar course is designed to introduce College of Computing students to the entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurship from different perspectives, as well as how key concepts can be applied to other areas of their life (academics, research, internships, and more). Each week, students will hear from an individual or panel of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists who will share their personal and professional journey, how they embody the entrepreneurial mindset, and key lessons learned. Students will then breakout into groups to further discuss how takeaways from that evening’s session can be applied in their own personal, academic, and professional journey. Readings and podcasts will complement the in-class discussions with the speakers. By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate how they will embody the entrepreneurial spirit in their own life.

If you have any questions about the course, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,
Jennifer
