Who's the "Career Fair"est of them all?

				Mirror, mirror, on the wall...
*job offer slowly appears*

It's officially the week of the Career Fair , which means companies have representatives all over campus holding events, interviewing students, and doing whatever other mysterious things recruiters do. We've had sev eral companies reach out t o W at CC in particular.
Here are two events you don't want to miss!

See you guys (gals? ladies? y'all?) there!

W at CC will NOT
(I repeat, NOT)
be meeting this week, nor will any other CoC orgs.
All meetings are cancelled due to the career fair.

The College of Computing has asked us to gauge the interest in attending
Technica
the first all-ladies hackathon coming to the University of Maryland November 7 - 8th. Please fill out this form if this interests you.

Those who are interested in playing Powder Puff football for the CoC during homecoming should contact Coach Troy at tpeace at cc.gatech.edu

			Download the
Career Fair App
for all of your career-fair-related needs

If you're interested in following up with Jeff Garbers (the guest speaker at our meeting last week) from VentureLab, please reach out to him at jeff.garbers at venturelab.gatech.edu

Courtesy of Christen Steel, one of the CoC advisors, here's a great article on how startups are using tech to fight workplace bias.
*highly recommended*

A message from the Georgia Tech Counseling Center:
My name is Dr. Drew Adelman, and I am a Staff Psychologist and Coordinator for Diversity Programs with the Georgia Tech Counseling Center. Now that we have begun the 2015-2016 academic year, I am reaching out to make sure you’re aware of our services. Mental health is an essential part of a successful and enjoyable experience at Georgia Tech and we are committed to helping you make the most of that experience. In addition to using our counseling services if needed, we invite you to attend our Wellness Workshops and our Diversity Program Series, all of which are described on our website: www.gatech.edu/counseling . Our website also has information about how students can make an appointment for a consultation. Please feel free to use me as a point-of-contact with any questions you have about services for yourself, a member of your organization, or a friend.

//TODO: 5 minutes of power poses before entering the career fair. Extra points if you get other people to join in.

Last thing. In an effort to make our meetings more "fun", we are trying to plan several "fun" and inclusive (presented by W at CC, but not limited to members) events in between the meetings we have with guest speakers, company representatives, etc. Works in progress include and are not limited to College of Computing Karaoke Night @ Under the Couch and Arts and Crafts @ Paper and Clay .

If you like "fun" and you have a lot of "fun" ideas, please submit them by pressing the super "fun" button below
