Hi ladies,

I would like to share with you an opportunity to attend the 2013 Southeast Women in Computing Conference November 15th-17th at Lake Guntersville State Park in Alabama.

The 2013 Southeast Women in Computing Conference strives to bring together women at different levels in academia, industry, research and government to promote the recruitment, retention and progression of women in computing and technology related fields that lack diversity in the national work force. This conference is held as a part of the Grace Hopper Regional Consortium (http://ghregionalconsortium.org/) to expand the positive impact of the national Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing.

Students are encouraged to attend the conference; participate by submitting a tech talk, research poster, panel or Birds of a Feather; as well as share this opportunity with others throughout the southeast region. Registration and abstract submissions are now open. Registration includes conference participation, lodging, and meals. Student registration is only $50, and scholarships are available through the conference (applications due by October 10th) and the College of Computing (information to come within the next two weeks - will include registration and transportation).

Please visit www.southeastwomenincompuing.org<http://www.southeastwomenincompuing.org> for more information on the conference, to submit a presentation, to apply for a student scholarship, and to register for the conference.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope that many of you will attend and submit presentations!

Jennifer
