Don't forget - The application deadline for the College of Computing Mentor Program has been extended to 5pm today, February 20th. If you are interested in applying to be a mentor for the 2012 incoming freshman class, please return your completed application to College of Computing room 351 or email it to jwhitlow at cc.gatech.edu<mailto:jwhitlow at cc.gatech.edu>. The interview/selection process will take place February 20th-March 2nd.

Are you looking for a rewarding challenge? Do you want to impact the success of our 2012 freshman class? Apply to be a 2012 College of Computing Freshman Mentor.

The 2012 Mentor Program provides you with the knowledge, skills and leadership to lead a group of 4-6 entering freshman students, give information sessions to prospective students and their families, host middle and high school students during field trips and overnight visits, and TA CS 1100. The program runs from March 2012-December 2012.

Requirements:
*Have completed 30 or more hours by end of the Spring 2012 semester
*Participate March 2012-December 2012
*Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher
*Attend the Mentor Retreat/Training Event on March 10th and 11th (must attend both days - lunch will be provided on Saturday and dinner will be provided on Sunday. The event will take place on the Georgia Tech campus.)
*Be available for monthly meetings/training during the Fall 2012 semester *
*Be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05pm-3:55pm to TA CS 1100
*Must help with the Back-to-School/Welcome Event at the beginning of the Fall 2012 semester
