Georgia Tech has been selected as the official venue for Joomla's Pizza,
Bugs, and Fun event, so come join, participate, and enjoy some free food,
coding, and fun!

Joomla (http://www.joomla.org), who is participating in Google Summer of
Code, is sponsoring the event *this Saturday, from 2-4PM,* called "Pizza,
Bugs, and Fun" (http://docs.joomla.org/Pizza_Bugs_and_Fun_2) in the *Library
East Commons*.

It's basically a code fest to address the outstanding issues with the
current release, including bug fixes and documentation rollout. Participants
can devote as little as an hour or the whole 3 hours. *Participants don't
necessarily need to be familiar with the Joomla code base*, just fairly
proficient in PHP, though the former is certainly a plus. Also, people are
needed for documentation, so *strict coding skills is also not a requisite*.
Everybody is encouraged to attend and learn: deep knowledge of the system is
not a requirement, since quite a bit of learning goes on during the event.
This article (
http://developer.joomla.org/home/26-coordinator-blog/147-the-best-ingredients-for-a-nice-pizza.html)
covers all the details necessary. Set-up will take place from 1:30 to 1:45,
so that development work can start at 2PM. There will be a team picture
taken at 2PM, so don't miss out!

Please feel free to forward this message onto people who you think would be
interested in participating. If you are interested in participating or want
additional information, please contact Shannon Quinn (squinn at gatech.edu). We
hope to see you there!
