Hi webmasters!

Background:  OIT has a Distributed Support program, where we hire a
fulltime IT person to work in a campus department.  Usually that person
is busy supporting the department and does not have much time left over
to maintain that department's website.  Departments are sometimes left to
hire temporary help to maintain their websites, and the knowledge transfer
of website maintenance is sometimes lost between one person and the next.

As a solution, OIT is looking to hire a couple of student assistants to
do web development work.  The student assistants will have some fulltime
employee oversight to maintain continuity and knowledge transfer.  Initially,
we will focus on projects related to departments participating in the
OIT Distributed Support program.  If this is successful, we may offer
website development and maintenance services to other campus units.

In order to begin this project, I'm looking for a couple of student
assistants to get the ball rolling.  Ideally, they would have some
previous website experience and have HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, PERL,
image manipulation, and SQL skills.  Previous experience using PHP
and PERL to access Oracle or mySQL databases is a plus.  Experience
with the Zend Framework is also a plus.  We're looking for students
who can fit approximately 20 hours a week into their schedule.
