Dear colleague,

We are pleased to invite you to contribute a paper to our Special Issue
"Reinforcement Learning for Robotics Applications" in /Robotics/. Both
comprehensive review and original article are welcome.

Special Issue Website at:
https://www.mdpi.com/journal/robotics/special_issues/RLRA
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 September 2020
Guest editors: Prof. Dr. Wail Gueaieb and Dr. Mohammed Abouheaf

This Special Issue invites researchers to showcase their novel
contributions to the theory and applications of reinforcement learning
in the field of robotics. It aims at promoting the recent advances in
this research field while highlighting the main real-world challenges
that are yet to be overcome. Potential topics include, but are not
limited to, the following:

     Deep reinforcement learning model-based methods
     Autonomous robots lifelong learning
     Multi-task reinforcement learning
     Goal-based skill learning
     Reinforcement learning in humanoid robotics
     Computational emotion models
     Imitation learning
     Self-supervised learning
     Inverse reinforcement learning
     Assistive and medical technologies
     Multi-agent learning
     Cooperating swarm robotics
     System identification
     Intelligent control systems

If you decide to contribute to this special issue, please inform us. The
Editorial Board of Robotics strives to ensure a rigorous and efficient
peer review process for all manuscripts, in order to ensure high quality
manuscripts be published in a timely manner (if accepted after peer
review process).

Robotics provides an advanced forum for studies related to all aspects
of robotics. It is covered by leading indexing services, including the
Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI - Web of Science),
Scopus (from Vol.6, 2017), nspec (IET) and DBLP Computer Science
Bibliography, and other databases. As a fully open access journal, the
Article Processing Charges of CHF 1000 (APC) apply to accepted papers.

For further details on the submission process, please see the
instructions for authors at the journal website:
