Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the forthcoming Workshop on Heuristic Search in
Industry (HSI), at IJCAI 2020, to be held in Yokohama, Japan, July
11th-17th, 2020.

*The 1st International Workshop on Heuristic Search in Industry* (HSI 2020,
https://hsi-workshop.github.io/)
In conjunction with the 29th IJCAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence
(IJCAI-20)
11-17 July 2020, Yokohama, Japan

*Call for papers*
As an effective method for solving complex optimization problems, heuristic
search has been widely used in industry, including logistics, digital maps,
cloud computing, as well as manufacturing, among others. Work on heuristic
search has a long tradition in AI, and there has been much progress over
the last few decades. Advanced techniques in heuristic search are highly
relevant for a range of real-world applications. On the other hand,
real-world industrial applications give rise to interesting data sets and
problems in this areas, and can also reveal bottlenecks and limitations of
existing methods. The goal of this workshop is to bring together experts on
heuristic search from academia and industry, and to promote real-world
applications of heuristic search.
The workshop encourages submissions on innovative technologies and
applications that leverage heuristic search for solving industrial
problems. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, problems and
data sets, techniques, methodologies, and applications of heuristic search
in (or relevant to) industry.
