Dear colleague,

We invite you to submit a paper to IEEE ICARSC 2020 - IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions - considering the new paper submission deadline: Feb 17, 2020.

IEEE ICARSC 2020 will take place next April 15-17 at Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. Azores is a fantastic venue: "Certified by Nature".

IEEE ICARSC 2020 will have proceedings published by IEEE and indexed at Scopus and IEEEXplore and excellent plenary speakers:
- António Pascoal: Exploring the blue frontier with cooperative marine robots: theory and practice
- Jan Peters: Towards robot skill learning

Best papers will be invited to submit extended versions in a Special Issue of the Journal of Intelligent and Robotic Systems - JINT (5-Year Impact Factor: 2.41) and others at Industrial Robot (5-Year Impact Factor: 1.27), both indexed by Clarivate Analytics Web of Science Core Collection.

We aim to gather researchers from academia and industry to present and discuss the latest trends in research and technology in the fields of robotics and related areas.

Below you will find a summary of the Call for Papers of IEEE ICARSC 2020.

The details are in the web https://icarsc2020.uac.pt/

The deadline for Paper submission is next February 17.
Please submit your papers before this deadline.

We are looking to meet you in Azores next April 15-17, 2020.

Best regards.

Nuno Lau
On behalf of the General/Program Chairs.

PS: We would be grateful if you would disseminate IEEE ICARSC 2020 CfP among your research group and colleagues.

== Venue ==

IEEE ICARSC 2020 will take place at the Campus of Azores University, Ponta Delgada, Azores. The campus is very close to city center and close to the main hotels at the city center.

Azores ("Certified by Nature") is an archipelago of nine islands located at northeast of Portugal, at Atlantic Ocean.
S. Miguel island is composed by two volcanic massifs separated by a low central ridge. The highest point is at Pico da Vara in the eastern massif, which rises to 1080 m. The large craters of Sete Cidades, Fogo and Furnas contain wonderful lakes of crystal-clear water which are the main touristic attractions of the island. Whales watching is also a common touristic activity.

There are hot springs very popular at Furnas and the organization will invite you to taste those waters. So please, don’t forget your swimsuit!
