Major Humanoid League

In the Humanoid League, autonomous robots with a human-like body and
human-like senses play soccer against each other.

Technical challenges take place including; Dynamic walking, running, and
kicking the ball while maintaining balance, visual perception of the ball,
other players, and the field, self-localization, and team play.

This league is separated into three categories; Adult, teen and kid.

Major Standard Platform League

The RoboCup Standard Platform League is a RoboCup robot soccer league, in
which all teams compete with identical robots. The robots operate fully
autonomously, i.e. there is no external control, neither by humans nor by
computers. The current standard platform used is the humanoid NAO by
SoftBank Robotics.

Major @Home League

Participants in the RoboCup at Home League compete in the degree to which
their robots can perform operations that assist human life in domestic
environments such as a living room or a kitchen, using an everyday robot
utilization scenario.

Major Rescue Robot

The goal of the urban search and rescue (USAR) robot competitions is to
increase awareness of the challenges involved in search and rescue
applications.

It requires robots to demonstrate their capabilities in mobility, sensory
perception, planning, mapping, and practical operator interfaces, while
searching for simulated victims in unstructured environments.

Junior Soccer

Students are required to design, build and program two robots to compete in
a dynamic game of robot soccer against an opposing pair of robots.

2-on-2 teams of autonomous mobile robots play in a highly dynamic
environment, tracking a special light-emitting ball in an enclosed,
land-marked field.

Junior Rescue

Robots identify victims within re-created disaster scenarios, varying in
complexity from line-following on a flat surface to negotiating paths
through obstacles on uneven terrain.

Junior OnStage

OnStage invites teams to develop a creative stage performance using
autonomous robots that they have designed, built and programmed. The
objective is to create a robotic performance between 1 to 2 minutes that
uses technology to engage an audience.
