Dear All,

we cordially invite all interested roboticist and especially all RoboCupers to our

"RoboCup Humanoid League Roadmap Workshop"

during IROS 2018 (FR-WS27), Madrid, Spain, on October 5th, 14h30 (2:30 PM). (For the room please check the IROS announcements.)

Scope:
The RoboCup Humanoid League is targeting soccer games as a challenging benchmark in humanoid robotics design and control. For the year 2050 we foresee a game against the 2050 human soccer champion. The workshop shall help to break down the work for the coming 30 years until 2050 into manageable tasks and steps that allow planning and assessing the progress. We will address the subject through three talks and an open discussion. The outcome of the workshop will contribute to the upcoming revision of the RoboCup Humanoid League roadmap.

Schedule:
14h30: Welcome
14h45: Minoru Asada: "Consciousness, Ethics, and Fairness emerge from humanoids who feel pain"
15h15: Steve McGill: T.B.D.
15h45: Diego Torricelli: „The EUROBENCH robotics framework for bipedal locomotion benchmarking“
16h15: Introduction to Discussion
