[robocup-worldwide] Call for Participants to WRS-2018

A new robotics competition --World Robot Summit (WRS) 2018-- will be held in October, 2018 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan. WRS 2018 has total nine various challenges in four categories, such as;

* Industrial Robotics Category: Assembly Challenge

* Service Robotics Category: Partner Robot Challenge [Real Space, Virtual Space], Future Convenience Store Challenge

* Disaster Robotics Category: Plant Disaster Prevention Challenge, Tunnel disaster Response and Recovery Challenge, Standard Disaster Robotics Challenge

* Junior Category (Teams of members aged 19 or younger): School Robot Challenge, Home Robot Challenge



The winning teams will be granted an award money. Total amount of prize money for the World Robot Challenge 2018 will exceed 100 million yen.

Some participating teams may receive a certain amount of travel expenses support and so on. (Note: travel expenses support is subject to examination by judging committee).



Teams that are interested in participation are kindly requested to register for entry at official website and get ID number by March 15, 2018. With that ID, teams are allowed to submit documents required for official registration a little later.



The registration for the participation is now open at WRS website http://worldrobotsummit.org/en/.
