Dual degree PhD Positions on Printed Electronic Tattoos -Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program

Soft Machines Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and The Institute of Systems and Robotics at University of Coimbra (UC) have joint PhD openings in the area of soft robotics. Students will receive a dual degree through the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program (http://www.cmuportugal.org/) and spend two years each at UC and CMU.  Their dissertational research will focus on printed electronic tattoos, e-skins, and Mechatronic systems that will be used on wearable bio-monitoring, Human Machine Interaction, Prosthetic and Robotics. 

We are particularly looking for candidates with hands-on experience in microfabrication, additive manufacturing, AI, and/or mechatronics.
