== Important! ==
Submission deadline: January 31, 2017.
The 17th IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and
Competitions (ICARSC 2017) gathers participants from academia and
industry working in the field of autonomous robotics and related areas.
It is organized within the 17th Portuguese Robotics Open, a
RoboCup-sponsored local event.
The conference will be held at the University of Coimbra in Coimbra,
Portugal, on April 26-28, 2017.
The University of Coimbra (UC), founded in 1290, was the first
Portuguese university, and one of the oldest in the world
(http://www.uc.pt/en). Nowadays, UC maintains a unique mix of tradition,
contemporaneity and innovation that led to its recognition as a world
heritage site by UNESCO since 2013.
Coimbra is located at the center of Portugal, about 200km north of
Lisbon and 100km south of Oporto, the closest cities with international
airports. Coimbra can be easily reached by train, coach or car from
these airports.
The conference has been an IEEE co-sponsored event for a long time and
its proceedings have been indexed in IEEExplore and in Scopus.
Moreover, similarly to previous editions, a special section in a
specialized journal will be set up to accommodate the publication of
extended versions of selected papers.

== Submission Guidelines ==
Submission Guidelines
The working language is English, only. Authors are invited to submit
original research contributions electronically, in PDF format, via
EasyChair:
Submitted papers should be up to six pages in total, in the IEEE
conference format, following the standard IEEE guidelines.
Reviewing for ICARSC 2017 will be *double blind* so authors must remove
their names from the submitted papers and should take reasonable care not
to indirectly disclose their identity.
Accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation, which requires that at
least one of the authors must register at the Conference and present the
paper. Failure to meet this requirement will imply removing the paper from
the online version of the proceedings.
We welcome you at ICARSC 2017 to share your latest research results.
See you in Coimbra!
