Dear all,

IEEE RAS TC on RoboCup organized the first tutorial on RoboCup at IROS
2016, on Monday morning, October 10th, 2016.

RoboCup Tutorial: Multi-Robot Autonomy in Robot Soccer as an Adversarial Domain

http://www.ieee-ras.org/robocup/activities/187-technical-committees/robocup/787-tutorial-at-iros-2016

This time, we focus on multi-robot autonomy in robot soccer as an
adversarial domain, which is the main research topic in many leagues
of RoboCup.

In addition, a short report on the great success of RoboCup 2016 held
in Leipzig, and an announcement of the next RoboCup 2017 in Nagoya
where the first RoboCup 1997 was held in conjunction with IJCAI 1997
will be given. If you like to know about RoboCup, please attend this
tutorial.

Four co-chairs of this TC, Minoru Asada (Osaka University), Manuela
M. Veloso (Carnegie Mellon University), Daniele Nardi (University of
La Sapienza), Daniel D. Lee (University of Pennsylvania) and Komei
Sugiura (NICT, Japan) will give their presentations as follows:

09:00 - 09:25 Opening/ Brief History of RoboCup and report from RC2016 (Minoru Asada)
09:25 - 10:00 Talk1 - An algorithm on play selection and adaptation (Manuela Veloso)
10:00 - 10:35 Talk2 - Role Assignment Through Predefined And Negotiated Agreements (Daniel Lee)
10:35 - 10:55 Coffee Break
10:55 - 11:30 Talk3 - Distributed State Sharing And Decision Making (Daniele Nardi)
11:30 - 11:50 Talk4 - A new challenge in RoboCup 2017 Nagoya (Komei Sugiura (tentative))
11:50 - 12:00 Closing (Minoru Asada)

See you there, and discuss the future of RoboCup!

Best,

-- Minoru
