The workshop will be followed by a Special Issue on Autonomous Mobile
Service Robots in the Journal “Intelligent Service Robotics." Workshop
contributors will thus have the opportunity to submit an extended version
of their work for publication in this journal.

Co-Chairs:
Manuela Veloso, XiaoPing Chen, Nick Hawes, Luca Iocchi, and Peter Stone

We are very pleased to announce the First IJCAI Workshop on Service Robots!

For several years, we have experienced a significant growth of research
and development on autonomous service robots, with many successful
university efforts and newly interested companies. The technical advances
in autonomous service robots are in both areas of robotics and artificial
intelligence, and capture the work towards the ultimate goal of
intelligent robots with a seamless integration of perception, cognition,
and actuation capabilities to autonomously perform service tasks in our
environments.

This IJCAI workshop on Autonomous Mobile Service Robots has three goals:
    1. To bring together the wide service robot research community,
    2. To create a forum to share concrete robot capabilities,
    3. To discuss a mechanism to enable the integration of the underlying
individual AI contributions in service robots.

We call for regular (6 pages + 1 page of references) or short papers (4
pages + 1 page of references) in IJCAI style,
http://ijcai16.org

We look forward to your submissions and seeing you in New York City at
IJCAI-2016!
Manuela, XiaoPing, Nick, Luca, and Peter
