Dear colleague,
We are pleased to inform you that ICARSC’2016 – IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions will be held in Bragança, Portugal, on May 4-6, 2016.
The conference is organized within ROBOTICA 2016 - 16th Portuguese Robotics Open, a RoboCup-sponsored local event, and it is promoted by the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and the Portuguese Robotics Society.

Conference Scope

The ICARSC’2016 conference gathers participants from academia and industry working in the field of autonomous robotics and related areas. The conference started as the meeting point of the Portuguese community working on Mobile Robotics Competitions and soon grew to an open International event to share related research work.
ICARSC is an IEEE co-sponsored event and its proceedings will be indexed in IEEExplore and submitted for indexing to Scopus, Inspec, EI’s Engineering Information Index, Compendex®,  and ISI Thomson’s Scientific and Technical Proceedings®, ISTP®/ISI Proceedings, and Current Contents on Diskette®.

Paper Submission
----------------
Authors are invited to submit original research contributions in English. Six pages in the standard IEEE format are allowed for each paper, including tables and figures. Full draft papers should be submitted electronically, in PDF format, using the URL: http://icarsc2016.ipb.pt/submission/openconf.php. For evaluation purposes, authors must remove their names from the submitted papers, and should take reasonable care not to indirectly disclose their identity.
Accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation, which requires that at least one of the authors should register at the Conference and present the paper.
If the authors of an accepted paper, either for oral presentation or poster, do not show up at the conference, the corresponding paper will not be submitted to IEEExplore.
Similarly to previous editions, a special issue will be set up in the “Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems” to accommodate the publication of extended versions of selected papers. Authors of the best conference papers will also be invited to submit an extended contribution to be evaluated for possible publication in the journals “Industrial Robot: An International Journal” and “Sensor Review”.
