RoboCup is a competition domain designed to advance Robotics and AI
research through a friendly competition.

Small Size robot soccer is one of the RoboCup league divisions, focused
on the problem of intelligent multi-agent cooperation and control in a
highly dynamic environment with a hybrid centralized/distributed
system.

Researchers and students are invited to participate in the RoboCup
Small Size League competition 2016, in Germany.

To participate, teams must complete the qualification process, available
on the League’s Wiki, at
http://wiki.robocup.org/wiki/Small_Size_League/RoboCup_2016/Qualification.

Qualification:
-------------
The deadline for team qualification material submission is
January 31st, 2016.

Every team interested to participate must send an e-mail with their
participation intent to the organizing committee
(rc-ssl-oc at lists.robocup.org) and submit the following qualification
material:
- A Team Description Paper (TDP) in LNAI format
  (http://www.springer.com/series/1244)
- A Team Video demonstrating the team capabilities

The detailed requirements of the qualification material are posted on
the League's wiki, at
http://wiki.robocup.org/wiki/Small_Size_League/RoboCup_2016/Qualification.

As a special requirement, the top 8 teams from RoboCup 2015 have to
submit an Extended Team Description Paper (ETDP).

(Extended) Team Description Papers will go through peer review. All
teams are expected to participate in the peer review process as a part
of the qualification procedure. Papers will be distributed after the
qualification deadline among the teams and feedback needs to be provided
by February 15, 2016. The final papers have to be submitted by March 31,
2016.

Qualification decisions will be announced by February 29, 2016.

Waiver of the team fee for NEW teams:
-------------
The RoboCup Federation is pleased to introduce a waiver of the team
fee for the 2015 international RoboCup competition for NEW teams in
the major leagues. A NEW team is defined as a team all of whose team
members have never participated in an annual international RoboCup
competition. The waiver concerns only the team fee and does not
imply any waiver of fees for team members.

Hope to see you at RoboCup 2016 in Germany.

Best regards,
2016 RoboCup Small Size League Organizing and Technical Committees
