Dear RoboCup’ers,
The FP7 Coordination Action RoCKIn (http://rockinrobotchallenge.eu/) has just delivered the third and last version of its public deliverables with the nutshell description and the rulebook for the RoCKIn Competition 2015, Challenges @Home and @Work:
@Home: http://rockinrobotchallenge.eu/rockin_d2.1.3.pdf
@Work: http://rockinrobotchallenge.eu/rockin_d2.1.6.pdf
The rulebooks were thoroughly reviewed and underwent some structure changes, but the rules for the TBMs and FBMs that took place in 2014 remain very similar. However, there are 2 new FBMs (one in @Home and one in @Work).
The RoCKIn consortium wants to hear Your feedback about the rulebooks. Potential participants, as well as members from academia and industry are strongly encouraged to participate using the RoCKIn email <info at rockincompetition.eu>, until 26 July 2015. We plan to publish the final rulebooks by 31 July 2015, including updates to the current online version, if any, based on the received feedback.
We will be looking forward to receiving your suggestions for the two RoCKIn challenges (@Home and @Work).
Let me take the opportunity that you can still apply to participate in the RoCKIn Competition 2015 until 31 August 2015 - including TBM (integrating several functionalities in tasks) or FBM (more focused on specific functionalities) participation. Check this page (http://rockinrobotchallenge.eu/rockin2015.php) for more information and to apply.
Best Regards
Pedro U. Lima

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice
... but in practice, there is!
