         ROBOT2015 - The Second Iberian Robotics Conference

                      November 19-21, 2015
                        Lisbon, Portugal

ROBOT'2015 - Second Iberian Robotics Conference - main goal is to show the
robotic research and development of new applications in the Iberian
Peninsula.
Although focused on the works developed at Iberia the conference is open for
good quality submissions from any country in the world.
The conference is organized in several Special Sessions one of which
is Educational Robotics.

The conference proceedings will be published in a Springer book of the
Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing Series, indexed by
Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge and SCOPUS (English papers) and in an
electronic volume with ISBN (Spanish and Portuguese papers).
Extended versions of the conference best papers will also be published in
Special Issues from several top Journals.

ROBOT'2015 will feature three Plenary Talks:
- Manuela Veloso - Carnegie Mellon University, USA
- Bill Smart - Oregon State University, USA
- Jon Agirre Ibarbia - TECNALIA Research & Innovation, Spain

Paper Submission: July 10, 2015
Notification: July 31, 2015
Camera Ready: September 15, 2015
ROBOT'2015 Conference: November 19-21, 2015

*OBJECTIVES AND TOPICS*
This session will cover robotics educational projects, any kind of robotics
teaching activities, description of robotics events (didactic or
competitive),
robotic kits developed to be used in the classroom, also robotics teaching
software,
and any others experiences developed in this filed. The expected topics
include,
but are not limited to the following:

  - Teaching, Learning and Evaluation in Robotics, Mobile Robotics and
Manipulators
  - Robotic events
  - Robotic Kits
  - Robots in the classroom
  - Curriculum for lectures schools
  - Robot simulation for kids
  - Robotics (& Technology) assisted education
  - Educational tools in robotics teaching and learning
  - Robotics in Education: Basic School, Secondary School and Higher
Education
  - Robotics to foster STEM areas
  - Robotics & Gender issues
  - Robotic demonstrators for education and public

*SUBMISSION*
Authors are invited to submit original research contributions in English,
Spanish or
Portuguese. Authors should submit their papers electronically in PDF format
via EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=robot2015)
Papers must follow the guidelines of Springer AISC template
(http://www.springer.com/series/11156) up to a maximum of 12 pages through
the
EasyChair interface (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=robot2015)
Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for potential
publication in a
journal special issue.
