===Motivation & Objectives===
Multisensor fusion is becoming an important topic for an expanding range of research fields. On one side, this is a consequence of the intrinsic limitations of available sensors: whenever an effective perception of complex environments is required, a single type of sensor is rarely sufficient. On the other side, an increasing variety of cheap high-performance sensor devices is becoming available, driven by the increasing use of sensors in mass-market devices.

At the same time, the range of mobile platforms that assist or substitute the human in driving is becoming wider: not only indoor robots, but also ground vehicles (road and off-road), flying and underwater machines are entering the market. A common feature for all these platforms is the need to employ sensors and suitable algorithms to create reliable representations of the environment, and of their own motion. In this context, multisensor fusion becomes a key issue for a wide range of research communities. The same is true for the associated problem of sensor calibration, both singly and jointly.

To present, compare, and discuss current research, tools and challenges in sensor fusion, pose estimation, and the calibration of sensor suites, we invite you to contribute and participate to the ''"MOVEUP 2014: Multisensor fusion and On Vehicles and Unmanned Platforms"'', an International Workshop held in conjunction with the 13th International Conference on Intelligent Autonomous Systems (IAS-13), Padua and Venice, Italy, from July 15th to July 19th, 2014.

===Topics===
We expect researchers from a range of fields, including (but not limited to) driverless cars, unmanned aerial vehicles, underwater robotics, autonomous robotics, and humanoid robotics. The goal of the workshop is to compare approaches, outline challenges, and progress beyond the current state of the art.
Contributions (both theoretical and in the form of real-world experiences) are sought about the following topics, but not limited to:
* sensor fusion
* multisensor systems
* single sensor calibration
* joint sensors calibration
* observability analysis

===Important Dates===
*Full Paper Submission: May 5th to May 10th
*Authors Notification: June 5th to June 10th
*Deadline for registration: see the IAS-13 website (about June 15th)
*Camera ready Submission: June 25th
*Workshop date: July 18th

===Submission===
All papers must be written in English, and the length should not exceed 10 pages (including everything), following IEEE double column format.
All contributions will be subject to a blind peer review by a minimum of two independent experts in the field. Submission is managed through EasyChair, please follow the link on the workshop homepage.

===Proceedings===
All accepted papers will be included in the IAS-13 Workshop Proceeding on CD (with ISBN) and published online in this website.

===Organizers===
M. Matteucci (Politecnico di Milano), D. G. Sorrenti (Università di Milano - Bicocca). For any question, feel free to contact us at moveup at disco dot unimib dot it.
