FRIENDLY REMINDER - DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS JANUARY 31, 2014 (!!)


Call for RCF-Sponsored Student/Faculty Short-Term Visits in 2014

The RoboCup Federation is pleased to announce that we will be able to
support short-term visits of faculty or students (Bachelor, Master, or
PhD level) to other institutions. The goal is to enable collaborations
between RoboCup researchers at different institutions to foster progress
of RoboCup and its leagues.

Support will be of a maximum of 5,000 USD per visit, to be reimbursed
upon receipts of travel and living costs. In addition, the visitor and
the host will receive free registration at RoboCup'14.

Please submit your application by January 31, 2014, by email to April
Foster, april.robocup at gmail.com, consisting of FOUR pdf files:

1.ONE PAGE Cover letter, with (i) Name of visitor, institution; (ii)
Name of host, institution; (iii) period of visit in 2014; (iv) title of
proposed research; and (v) requested amount with justification.

2.MAX 2-PAGE Proposed plan of work for the visit, agreed by both visitor
and host, including the goals of the work.

3.MAX 2-PAGE CV of host, explicitly stating the relevant RoboCup research.

4.MAX 2-PAGE CV of visitor, explicitly stating the relevant RoboCup
research.

Application materials will be evaluated by a committee of RoboCup
Trustees and/or RoboCup Exec members. The evaluation will be based on
(i) the quality of the proposed research; (ii) the research
contributions of the host and visitor, particularly in relation to
RoboCup; and (iii) the impact of the proposed plan on the advancement
and visibility of RoboCup.

Results of the visit will be required to be presented as a written
report and a poster by the following RoboCup Symposium.

Decisions will be made by February 15, 2014. Note that only applications
with a host in agreement with the visitor will be considered.

Reminder: Applications need to be submitted by email to April Foster,
april.robocup at gmail.com, by January 31st, 2014.
