Working with Professor Manuela Veloso

The position will include working on algorithmic guarantees for robot
safety within a Darpa-funded project, involving real ground, and possibly
aerial, mobile robot platforms of at least two types. The project requires
the integration with other researchers within CMU and with other
universities and laboratories.

The candidate needs to have a PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or
Electrical and Computer Engineering, and be ready to start September -
October 2013. Concrete experience with real robots is required.

Qualified applicants should respond by e-mail as soon as possible and at

a cover letter explaining the experience with real robots, and the CV,
including the names of three references. The position will be for one
year, with the possibility of renewal for one additional year.
