[NEWS] 912 teams from 13 countries have so far pre-registered for this event.


The 7th RoboCup IranOpen competitions will be held in April 3-7, 2012 at Tehran International Fair. Having had the experience of 6 years successful organization of these competitions, we look forward to an even more glorious event with more teams competing in this major robotic event from all over the world. Last year we had 343 teams from Brazil, China, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States. 
 
RoboCup IranOpen is an attempt to further promote AI and Robotics researches. These competitions will provide a chance for all researchers to present and share their experiences and achievements. 

The RoboCup IranOpen 2012 competitions leagues are as follows:
- Humanoid 
- Middle Size 
- Small Size
- Standard Platform
- Soccer 3D Simulation
- Soccer 2D Simulation
- Rescue Robot
- Rescue Simulation
- Resacue Virtual Robot
- RoboCup at Home
- Junior Soccer A Open Weight
- Junior Soccer B Open Weight
- Junior Soccer B Light Weight
- Junior Rescue A Primary 
- Junior Rescue A Secondary 
- Junior Rescue B
- Junior CoSpace Rescue 

The RoboCup IranOpen 2012 competitions additional leagues which are not among official RoboCup leagues:
- Deminer Autonomous
- Deminer Manual 
- Deminer Technical Challenge
- Senior Demo 
- Junior Demo Primary
- Junior Demo Secondary 
- IranOpenROV (Radio Operated Vehicles - underwater robots)
- IranOpenUAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) 

Participation:
All teams are required to pre-register through the online form available in the website. The pre-registered teams must submit the relevant qualification materials. Last year 343 teams were qualified from 1150 pre-registered teams.

Important dates:
Pre-registration: November 05, 2011 - January 26, 2012 [Extended]
Submission of qualification materials: December 10, 2011 - February 03, 2012
Qualification: February 03-24, 2012
Registration: February 04 - March 03, 2012
Teams Setup (close to public): April 03-04, 2012
Competitions (open to public): April 05-07, 2012
