We've taken account of your feedback about last year's event and tried to incorporate it into this one, in order to make the upcoming RoboCup as enjoyable as possible for everyone.</div><br><div>The double elimination format in division A has been well received. Hence, this year's format will be very similar, with the main difference being that every team starts in the upper bracket.<br></div><div><br></div><div>The Swiss format in division B on the other side had some major flaws: the lack of predictability of the matches, the fact that the most interesting games have been on the first day already, just to name a few. This is why we chose a completely different, more conventional format for this year. There will be a long group stage, covering almost three of the four days. The best 6 teams will then play for the first place in a single elimination stage.</div><div><div><br></div><div>The exact tournament format and the tentative schedule can be found here: <a href="https://ssl.robocup.org/robocup-2019-tournament/" target="_blank">https://ssl.robocup.org/robocup-2019-tournament/</a></div><div><br></div></div><div>Like last year, the seeding will be determined 14 days before the start of the first match, using <a href="https://www.random.org/integers/?mode=advanced" target="_blank">https://www.random.org/integers/?mode=advanced</a> with the following parameters:</div><div>- Part 1: Number of integers to generate: 4</div><div>- Part 1: Value range: -1,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000</div><div>- Part 4: Pregenerated randomization date: 2019-06-18</div><div>The first two integers will be used for the division A seeding and the second two integers for division B (as input for the ssl-grouping tool).<br></div><div><br></div><div>Best,</div><div>Christian<br> </div></div>
