Dear Fellow-RoboCuppers of the Small-Size League,

The survey responses to the change of field size are as follows:
11 responses: Voluntarily for RoboCup 2014, Compulsorily for 2015.
6 responses: This year, at RoboCup 2014.
2 responses: At some unknown future RoboCup.

Based on these responses, we will be adopting the change of field size Voluntarily for RoboCup 2014, Compulsorily for 2015. The double sized field will be exactly twice the area of the old field size, for a dimension of 6050x8100mm.

There will be four double-sized fields, one for each group.

For every game, if both teams accept to play on the larger sized field, the game will be played on the larger field.

For a team to qualify beyond the round robins, they must successfully participate in the double-sized field technical challenge.

Each team must submit their preference of field size at least a day before the scheduled game time, failing which the double-sized field preference will be assumed.

Double-Sized Field Technical Challenge
