<DIV> I think there's some problems about carpets. carpets decrease the speed of robots. and it will stick between wheels of robots. so I think we can use another material in the arena for future competitions. e.g. parket,wood and even tatemi!</DIV>

was used.<BR>I think carpet is thicker, more robust and easier to floor than felt.<BR>You should try to find green, short carpet. As we do not have any standardized<BR>flooring keep in mind that your robots should be able to drive on different<BR>carpet, too. Especially new carpet usually is much deeper than the one in our<BR>laboratory. For marking the lines we use ordinary tape.
