[robocup-nao] Standard Platform League - standard field?

Hi,

the field cannot be purchased. However, the rules of the SPL have not been
released for RoboCup 2009 yet. The new field will be identical to the field
of the Humanoid League, but

- without beacons

- with SPL 2008 goals

The Humanoid League also has not released the new rules. The 2008 rules can
be found at www.tzi.de/humanoid. Please note that the Humanoid League will
most likely remove the throw-in marks (six crosses on the left and right),
but will keep the center mark and the penalty marks. These changes also
apply to the SPL 2009.

The green carpet can be bought in a construction market. It is usually meant
for balcony or terrace. It's rather cheap. We paid around 2 Euros/qm. The
underside should be flat. Since the field is now wider than 4 m, it seems
not to be possible anymore to build it from a single piece of carpet. The
field lines are usually white tape. Painting them on the carpet is also
possible, but you will get a lower contrast, and you cannot move them in
case of rule changes.
