Dear Humanoid Teams,

This is the fifth Humanoid league newsletter.

It will present the following topics:

- Extension of the deadline for registration
- New version of the GameController
- Model specifications
- Official rules
- Upcoming dates

# Extension of deadline for registration
========================================

We are happy to announce you that 19 teams have already registered to
participate to the V-HSC competition.

Since some teams contacted us to inform us that they tried to register
without success, we decided to reopen the submission system and accept
other registrations until April 23rd.

It is important to note that the robot models still have to be updated
by April 23rd.

# New version of the GameController
===================================

The GameController can now handle all input necessary for playing games
according to the current laws of the game! You can find the updated
version in the master branch of the official repository. If you find any
bugs, please make sure to report them as issues int he repository.
*Important update to come*: Teams need to be able to change which robot
is goal-keeper during the game. We will make a change that enables this
in the near future and particularly release how this can be used by teams.

# Model specifications
======================

The robot model specifications are now finished and available at
<https://cdn.robocup.org/hl/wp/2021/04/v-hsc_model_specification_v1.0.pdf>.

This document will now only be updated in cases of serious concerns.

# Official Rules
================

The Technical Committee has approved the V-HSC 2021 Rule book, the
latest versions (with and without changes marked) are available at
<https://humanoid.robocup.org/materials/rules/>.

Since no concerns were raised since the last version published on April
1st, only the publication date has changed since. You can now consider
the document as stable with changes occurring only in case of serious
concerns.

# Upcoming dates
================

- April 19th:
  - Final version of the robot-simulator API
  - 2nd version of the server specifications

- April 23rd:
  - Extended deadline for registration in the humanoid submission system
  - Teams who want to play with a custom model need upload the first
version of their robot model in the submission system
