Dear Humanoid League teams,

in the Standard Platform League it is a long-standing tradition that
(some) teams release their source code to facilitate the advancement
of the league. The FUmanoids team feels that this is would be a very
good idea for the Humanoid League as well. While obviously each team's
source code has strong dependencies on the particular hardware used
(e.g. processor, operating system, motor communication, camera lenses
and interface, etc), it would still provide valuable insight and allow
other teams to learn from successes and mistakes being made.

In the spirit of knowledge exchange, the FUmanoids team has decided to
make available the source code used in RoboCup 2011 in Istanbul. We
hope this will encourage other teams to release their source code as
well!

In the first installment, the code used in the small final against
Darmstadt Dribblers (final score 4:8) is released and can be
downloaded at

   http://www.fumanoids.de/publications/coderelease (~80 MB).

Some information and the copyright and license information can be
found inside the download. Please read and accept these before using
any of the code or applications contained in the download.

We plan to release an updated version next year with a new software
architecture and cleaner interfaces. Feel free to contact us on our
website for feedback or questions, become a follower on twitter
