[robocup-humanoid] Call for additional TeenSize teams

Dear Humanoid League Teams,

for the competition in Istanbul, only two TeenSize teams submitted
qualification material so far.
This is not sufficient to hold a TeenSize competition.

One of the reasons for few TeenSize teams could be that the size range
for TeenSize robots is very narrow.
The 2010 rules allowed only robots from 100-120cm to compete in the
TeenSize class.
For comparison: KidSize robots had to be 30cm-60cm and AdultSize
130cm-160cm.

Because currently there is a large gap (40cm) between KidSize and TeenSize,
one option would be to lower the size required for TeenSize robots to 80cm.

The purpose of this call is to find out if additional teams would like
to compete in TeenSize,
if the allowed robot size was 80-120cm.

If you seriously consider participation in the 2011 TeenSize competition
in Istanbul,
please indicate this to this list by February 14th.

Best regards,

Sven Behnke.
