<p>I'm not sure if <code>SPTree</code> is the best name here.  But the name <code>SpillTree</code> is already taken.  Maybe you might consider the same type of thing I did for the cover tree, where the class is called <code>CoverTree</code> and the standard template alias is called <code>StandardCoverTree</code>?  I'm open to ideas here, and maybe there isn't anything better; it just seems counterintuitive to me to compress <code>Spill</code> as <code>SP</code>.</p>
