<p>Ryan, I <em>am</em> <a href="https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-science/pull/1819/files#diff-2e6205c4e12cd1dafdb5284a684acf07R5">applying the patch</a>. I don't own a Mac either(I have already indicated this several times). It looks like it might be a <code>clang</code> issue. </p>

<p>I am going to probably close that PR. Thanks for your suggestions.</p>
