You might try starting somewhere like http://www.lurklurk.org/linkers/linkers.html , but be warned, it takes a long time to learn all this stuff and it's quite complex.

If you can paste the output of the CMake command you ran (specifically the line with the `Armadillo libraries:` output), I can probably see what's going wrong here.
