Comment:

 It took a long time for me to really get to the bottom of what was going
 on, but the NMF tests were badly written and needed to be overhauled.
 I've committed a series of fixes in r16696, r16697, and r16698.  So, in
 future releases, the tests won't fail, but there was no actual bug in the
 NMF code -- just the tests.
