 Hi Ryan,

 Thanks for getting back. I agree with whatever you said, this arrangement
 makes more sense. Because we are using the parameter 'rank' for the
 calculations as well, and that is not included as an argument to the
 function. It shouldn't be asymmetric in that sense, also the library will
 have a more uniform codebase if you make it like the NeighborSearch class.
