Comment:

 Ok, this all makes sense.  I have documented the tau parameter more
 thoroughly, and increased the default from 0.1% to 5%, in the hopes that
 other users attempting to run allkrann on small datasets with default
 parameters will not run into the same problems.  Thanks for the
 clarification.  :)
